I AM A SCHOLAR OF DISPLACEMENT, SECURITY AND DEVELOPMENT EXPLORING HOW SOCIETIES NAVIGATE INSECURITY, TRANSFORMATION AND CHANGE
My work examines how conflict, displacement and humanitarian intervention continue to shape societies long after institutions declare crises to have ended. Through the concept of the Endings and Afterlives of Protection, I argue that protection is a temporal process whose consequences continue to influence governance, mobility, citizenship, peacebuilding and human security across time and generations.
Committed to scholarship with public purpose, I bring together Refugee Studies, Security Studies, and Development Studies to understand the long-term dynamics of insecurity and institutional change. Through interdisciplinary research and collaboration with policymakers and practitioners, I seek to advance theory while informing policy, practice and public debate.
